Christopher Borgman, OD, FAAO Assistant Professor

Dr. Chris Borgman is an assistant professor at the Southern College of Optometry. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at Central College in Pella, Iowa and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. Following graduation, Dr. Borgman completed a one-year residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Illinois College of Optometry/Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Illinois.

Prior to joining the faculty at SCO, Dr. Borgman spent three years in a multi-doctor, private ophthalmology practice in Des Moines, Iowa which specialized in primary care, ocular disease, cataract surgery, and laser refractive surgery. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Tennessee Association of Optometry Physicians (TAOP), and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He has authored numerous articles published on the topics of various ocular disease conditions, and has also lectured in many continuing education venues, both nationally and internationally, on the topics of primary care ocular diseases, ocular pharmacology, ocular manifestations of systemic diseases, and neuro-optometric diseases.

Dr. Borgman currently sees patients and supervises students in a clinical setting at The Eye Center at SCO, and also teaches two classroom courses: Systemic Pathology and Integrative Analysis. His areas of professional interest include: primary care and ocular disease, ocular manifestations of systemic disease, and neuro-optometric diseases.

Dr. Borgman enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, and is a slow-pitch softball and baseball enthusiast.


Selina R. McGee, OD, FAAO Founder & Owner of BeSpoke Vision

Dr. Selina McGee is Founder and Owner of BeSpoke Vision, a boutique private practice that offers patients a wide range of optometric care via its dry eye center of excellence, specialty contact lens clinic and aesthetics suite. In addition to her private practice, Dr. McGee is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Northeastern State University College of Optometry. She is also on faculty at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation via their Sjogren’s clinic. She currently serves on the Oklahoma Board of Examiners and is Vice President for the Intrepid Eye Society. She is a Trustee on the SECO Board. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and is Past-President of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. She has many relationships with industry, serving on numerous advisory boards. Dr. McGee is the recipient of several awards, BeSpoke Vision was most recently recognized as Small Business of the Year. including the Heart of American Contact Lens Society Award, RGP Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award and Alcon Excellence in Contact Lens Fitting Award. She has a dozen publications to her credit that have appeared in Modern Optometry, Optometry Times and Diagnostic Testing for Dry Eye Disease, among others. Dr. McGee has lectured nationally and internationally at meetings such as Alberta Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, SECO International, Vision Expo East and Vision Expo West among others. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology (where she graduated Summa Cum Laude) and Doctor of Optometry (also Summa Cum Laude) from Northeastern State University College of Optometry.
