Bj Avery is the past Executive Director and the current Legislative Consultant of the Texas Optometric Association. During her 29 years with TOA, she has designed and implemented statewide political strategies for optometrists. As a former television reporter and news anchor she has a unique perspective on legislative and third party issues. She conducts seminars on HIPAA, OSHA, human resources, Medicare/Medicaid/Third Party management, billing and coding, social media and embezzlement. In addition, the former University of Texas graduate serves as a certified facilitator in leadership and teambuilding. Bj is the only non-optometrist to ever receive the Texas Optometric Association Distinguished Service Award, the highest award offered by the organization. She is a managing partner for Practice Compliance Solutions, providing medical compliance, insurance billing, auditing and practice management services.

Dr. Cass is a full-time associate with MyEyeDr. in Beaumont, TX, a Past President of the Texas Optometric Association and continues to serve on their third party, legal and legislative, and finance committees. He is also the Vice President of Practice Compliance Solutions, a, partner in EDO labs in Dallas, a clinical researcher for Alcon, Adjunct Faculty for UCHO, where he teaches practice management to the third-year students, and an auditor for Medicaid. He is a nationally recognized speaker on topics of billing, compliance, practice management, and anterior segment disease.

Dr. DeLoach’s career includes private practice, medical director of one the nation’s largest optometric referral centers and former Clinical Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was director for medical eye care services at clinics providing care to over 8,000 indigent patients each year. He is noted lecturer on ocular disease, billing and coding and health care compliance having presented over 3000 hours in education. He has received every award given to a Texas Optometrist including the coveted Distinguished Service Award and Armistead Teaching Award. Dr. DeLoach is President and CEO of Practice Compliance Solutions, a company providing medical compliance, insurance billing, record audits and practice management services.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University, Chris Wroten, O.D., graduated from Southern College of Optometry (SCO) before completing a Residency in Hospital-based Primary Eye Care at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Wroten is a partner at the Bond-Wroten Eye Clinics, with 3 offices in southeast Louisiana, and serves as the clinic’s Chief Operating Officer, while supervising its Primary Care & Ocular Disease Residency and Student Externship Programs, both of which he founded. He has received appointment as Adjunct Faculty at several schools & colleges of optometry, has twice been elected President of the Optometry Association of Louisiana (OAL), co-chairs the OAL Education Committee, is Vice-Chair of SECO International’s Education Committee, serves on the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners, has been appointed to numerous committees within the American Optometric Association, and serves on the Board of Trustees for SCO. Dr. Wroten has lectured internationally, participated in clinical research, and been the recipient of several professional awards throughout his career. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Dr. Sarah Wroten, also a staff optometrist at The Bond Wroten Eye Clinics, and is the proud father of two children, Emily and Ben.
